When I began developing my website I knew that I wanted the main focus mainly to be on my creative projects. In hopes of gaining some inspiration, I visited the websites of some of my favorite videographers/photographers. I realized that a lot of their websites were in simple portfolio layouts, and I wanted to do something a little different. Below is the website of one of my favorite artists, Petra Collins:

I wanted to display my photography and videos in a manner that is uniquely designed to portray my aesthetics as an artist. The aesthetic I am trying to go for is a design that mirrors the playfulness of the original Super Mario Bros or a 90s editorial magazine layout, but with a modern twist. The first thing I did was download a “pixel” text font to my website in order to fully create the 90s vibe I am going for. I then created a simple homepage, with just a cloud floating in as you first open the site (fun fact, I LOVE clouds). After opening the homepage, a menu will pop up, directing you to the various pages of my site. Since last time, I have added content to my “creative projects” page: buttons that will redirect you to the projects I’ve done with artists.

Right now, the only project I have up are pictures from a shoot with artist, FKi First, a talented music engineer working with artists like 2 Chainz, Post Malone, and Travis Scott. I will later add projects that I am currently editing. I am really excited to keep building my portfolio, and to eventually be able to use it as a reference for future clients.
